Six counters inside one Superstore building
A Superstore is closer to a small mall than a corner grocer. Fresh food, clothing, fuel and prescriptions each run with their own team, so one location can post very different openings in the same week.
Tills and lanes

How union steps move a Superstore wage
Most store staff belong to a UFCW local, such as 401 in Alberta or 247 in British Columbia. Each contract sets a starting rate and a ladder of raises, which is why two clerks in one aisle can earn different amounts.

⚠️ Expect a light schedule at first: PC Express pickers and other part-timers describe weekly hours held well below full time, some near 28, so a second income may be needed until seniority builds.
Provinces with a Superstore, and the sister banners elsewhere
The chain began in Western Canada and moved into Ontario later. Atlantic Canada has its own banner, Atlantic Superstore, and Quebec shoppers get Maxi instead.
