When Staples hires extra hands and how the offer arrives
Staples has run national hiring drives in late spring, to get ready for back-to-school, its busiest season, and again in November. Both are good moments to ask for more hours.
When a store picks you, the offer comes by phone first, and a written letter follows. Driver hires also need a recent driver’s abstract, and the ServiceOntario counter jobs ask that you be 18 or older.
Store postings also list what comes with the job: an associate discount, flexible benefit plans, a group RRSP, learning programs and recognition awards. A part-time warehouse posting in Calgary promises health and dental coverage too, so ask about benefits at your interview whatever your hours.
💡 Pro tip: Wireless Sales Consultant has more openings than any other Staples job. If you enjoy talking about phones, apply to it and to Sales Associate at the same store. The base pay is higher and the commission starts with your first sale.
