Metro fills jobs at the till, in the aisles, at the deli and in its warehouses in Quebec and Ontario all year. Store roles begin at each province’s minimum wage under a union contract, and warehouse pickers earn more than $22 an hour from day one.
These six postings come up at Metro more than any others. Its discount banners, Super C in Quebec and Food Basics in Ontario, are hiring in larger numbers because new locations keep opening.

Starting wages in Quebec and Ontario
Metro’s food stores are in Quebec and Ontario, so store pay begins at one of these two minimums. Pay rises with the hours you work, following the scale in your store’s union contract.
Store rates are the general minimum wage, with Ontario’s increase of October 1 included. Metro may offer more for relevant experience.
💡 Aim for the warehouse: if you live near Etobicoke or another Metro distribution centre, apply there too. Pickers start about $5 an hour above the store rate.
