Delivery drivers at Ashley HomeStore’s distribution centres start at $22 to $25 an hour, with a raise after 90 days or six months. In-store warehouse jobs pay up to $20, and full-time sales pay comes from commission that can go past $80,000 a year.
Most figures here come from postings by The Dufresne Group, the Winnipeg company that runs 38 of the 56 Ashley stores in Canada. The rest come from Job Bank postings by locally owned stores.
Before you apply to Ashley HomeStore
🏬 For Dufresne Group locations, one job site lists every store, warehouse and Guest Care opening.
🏠 The other 18 stores are locally owned and post each job on their own.
🚚 Driver postings ask for a Class 5 or G licence you have had for a year or more, plus a criminal record check.
📦 In-store warehouse jobs involve lifts of up to 100 lb, and sales jobs up to 30 lb.

How commission works for Ashley HomeStore sales staff
Ashley sales staff are paid on the sales they write, not a set hourly wage. A Dufresne Group posting from Stoney Creek explains the safety net: you receive your commission or the minimum wage for all the hours you worked, whichever is bigger.
Example: 30 hours worked in Ontario
Floor: 30 × $17.95 = $538.50
If your commission comes to $700, you are paid $700.
If it comes to $400, you are still paid $538.50.
Full-time sales postings list $54,000 to $80,000 or more a year, depending on sales, and part-time ones $30,000 or more. Sales managers are posted at $55,000 to $65,000 plus a quarterly bonus.
Not every store works this way: a locally owned store in Fort McMurray posted a part-time sales job at a flat $18 an hour with no commission.
Ashley HomeStore perks on Dufresne Group postings
Almost every Dufresne Group posting lists an employee discount. Many add a savings plan for retirement that the company adds to, help with education costs and in-house training, and full-time sales staff get a benefits plan.
Ashley HomeStore locations run by local owners
Eighteen Ashley stores belong to local owners, from Victoria, Kamloops and Prince George to Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay and Dartmouth. None of them use The Dufresne Group’s job board, so watch Job Bank and Indeed for their openings.
A recent Dartmouth posting for a delivery driver offered $20 to $22 an hour for 40 hours a week. It came with life insurance, health, dental and eye care, and training for beginners. In Sudbury, a full-time sales posting offered between $40,000 and $80,000 yearly.
💡 Pro tip: Every Dufresne Group delivery posting asks for a criminal record check and a spotless driving history. Order your record check and your driver’s abstract before you apply, so neither one holds up your start date.
