First placements for new Loblaws staff
Loblaws runs a market-style store with full-service meat and produce, so its fresh departments need more hands than the centre aisles. Most newcomers learn one department well before moving.
Bakery
Clerks bake off loaves and pastries, slice bread and restock the cases.
Service meat case
Staff at the service case cut, wrap and weigh each order.

The Maple Leaf Gardens flagship
Loblaws turned the old home of the Toronto Maple Leafs into an 85,000-square-foot store. At opening it offered a cheese wall of more than 450 varieties, bread baked from scratch and a sushi bar run with T&T.
Toronto has about 15 Loblaws and Ottawa about 10, so those cities post the most jobs. There are no Loblaws in Western Canada, where Superstore plays that role.
